Treating Nicotine Addiction (3 Day Training)

Victorian Aboriginal Health Service will be providing educationon best practice evidence-based training in nicotine addiction.
We would like to invite Koori Maternity Services and otherclinicians to register for this training as we believe it will benefit supporting clients to manage their smoking behaviours with theaim to be smoke/vape free.

Professor Renee Bittoun has been teaching this course for over 30 years, regularly updating the content and has many years of experience in clinical practice and professional training regarding smoking cessation.

  • Nicotine Addiction and Evidence Based Smoking Cessation Techniques
  • Pregnancy and Nicotine
  • Carbon Monoxide Reading/Assessment

Professor Renee Bittoun started one of the world’s first Smokers’ Clinics in Sydney, Australia in 1979 at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney.
She is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of the international peer-reviewed Journal of Smoking Cessation, published by Cambridge University Press.

This training is highly recommended to gain in-depth knowledge and skills in nicotine addiction and smoking cessation to work in primary and allied healthcare as a tobacco treatment and smoking cessation specialist.
